REVO TCU SOFTWARE
STAGE 3 | IS38ETR
The DQ250 direct-shift is an electronically controlled dual-clutch gearbox that offers much faster gear changes. The dual-clutch allows gears to change instantaneously without losing boost. Improved engine performance from Revo ECU Software means that the stock shift points do not give you the maximum potential that your car has to offer.
Revo Transmission Control Unit (TCU) Software ensures your gearbox works in harmony with Revo ECU Software to give you access to even more power. Only The Driven know that quicker gear changes and extended rev-ranges mean more exhilarating power, and as with all Revo Software, you won’t have to compromise on day-to-day driveability.
DQ250 DSG GEARBOX
Revo TCU Software offers improved response and optimised shift points but maintains the characteristics of Drive and Sports mode. Manual mode now gives you more control by disabling the automatic kick-down feature, unlike drive mode where if you plant your foot the gears automatically kick down, allowing you to select the gear you want and make the most of the increased torque from Revo ECU software. Automatic upshift is still active all in modes to offer the best performance and safety for your engine, whilst Dynamic Launch Control allows you to launch at various RPM points depending on your throttle position, improving your 0-60mph times.
The result of over two years of extensive development through our Global Development Programme. This Software has been tested in countries from South Africa, Brazil and America to Australia, South Korea, Russia and Germany giving us invaluable data from a wide variety of driving styles and conditions. This ensures the unrivalled quality and performance you demand.

DEVELOPMENT
Revo started Developing ECU software in 2014 for the GEN3 EA888 engines, and 12 months later started working on the MQB DSG software to match. Our own in-house Audi S3, VW Golf R and Skoda vRS spent countless hours in the hands of the calibration engineers, 2 years later they had combined over 70,000miles of varied driving throughout the UK on road and track.
During the early stages of testing it was established that the cars are capable of very quick launch times once tuned, however, it equally became apparent that the ECU torque strategy needed to be carefully calibrated to help each car achieve optimum performance while keeping factory OEM style drivability and mechanical sympathy for the DSG.
2016 saw the start of the Global Beta test program throughout the Revo Authorised dealer network in Russia, South Africa, Brazil, America, Malaysia, Australia, South Korea, Italy, Germany and Spain to name but a few. This ability to get people driving their own cars provided crucial feedback for Revo to begin to get the product to market, safe in the knowledge we have thoroughly tested all aspects of DSG tuning in collaboration with Revo ECU software.
